Advices on treating of fur

The furcoat should be hung up on a wide hanger. It should hang in a case so, that it is free, that air circulated around of a product, and pile is not broken. If the furcoat has got wet, it is necessary to shake it up and hang it to be dried at a room temperature, then comb with a brush or a comb the dried up product accurately in a direction of pile.
Upon termination of season, it is necessary to inspect fur. If cleaning is needed, it is better to hand a product over to a specialized dry-cleaner.
For the spring-and-summer and autumn periods, it is ideal to hand a furcoat over for preservation to a specialized fur refrigerator where the certain temperature mode and humidity are maintained. In home conditions, the fur coat should be stored in a case far from light in a textile (or special anti-moth) case, on a small distance from an anti-moth preparation. Once in 4 months, it is recommended to ventilate a product, and to replace the anti-moth preparation for a fresh packing. It is also possible to use against moth the dried up shoots of wormwood, tansy, mint or lavenders associated into small bunches and placed in the gauze bags not far from the stored fur products.
Fur headdresses are recommended to be stored in a box with a skintight cover. Onto a bottom of the box it is necessary to put preparations against moth.
Fur products are supposed to be stored at temperatures above +23°C and relative humidity of air over 65 % for no more than 6 months.

NEVER!

  • dry fur near heating devices;
  • comb and rub with your hand a wet fur;
  • store fur products in polyethylene packages;
  • store in one case products out of dyed and non-dyed natural fur;
  • apply perfume, cologne, scented water onto fur.

It is not recommended to carry a ladies' handbag on a shoulder - it promotes fast abrasion and breaking pile.
